JOHN LOUIE V. ABAIGAR
Personal Profile
 I am 22 years old, born on the 12th of October
1986, I stand 5’8 and the only son of Bill and Ditas
Abaigar, I studied classical music at the Conservatory of
Music of Centro Escolar University. My music spans from ballad,
jazz, classics to operatic.
GMA 7 Pinoy Pop Superstar Year Yr. 3 Luckily
made me its 7th finalist. The competition enabled me to prove
my versatility as an artist, when they tried to test my mettle
as rocker and by providing musical pieces that in the past
would be near impossible for me to even try-ranging from the
likes punk rock, and alternative to hardcore.
I came to point where I adjusted fully to
that persona, loving its freedom, its angst and its drive.
Engaging with the beat of drums, the roar of the crowd, and
the feeling which is very refreshing. I learned how to dance
and groove to its rhythm – disco RnB and Bossa Nova.
I guess I can say that I am a fast learner,
but if someone would assist me in the process, I would really
be willing to learn, hone and sharpen my talent and craft
to the best of my ability.
Also, since middle school I was able to compose
and have compiled sorts of compositions which may have some
influence of current sounds, but largely leave a personal
touch to mine.
I even tried to come up with a genre which
I’d like to call “Classical Rock”. This
is a type of music where full voice using classical vibrato
blends with distortions and harmonixes with the beat of the
drums. I am not exactly sure how many did this already though.
I have couple of compositions of this genre that I would really
like to share and hopefully be appreciated.
